Beautiful.

Btw, I'm now taking a Geology class (rocks and minerals), so I'll not only have more images, but handy info from time to time. Not much right now though. ^^;

Double Arches from Arches National Park in Moab, UT. A prime example of weathering. Apparently, they're huge... I wonder what it'd be like to camp underneath one.

@Dave: unfortunately that is indeed the Parchov Rocks. Also, I like your images, made me lol :P

@Patsy: wai do you do this to me?!?!? I am having a geolo-gasm right now! My mind is currently running through the process the magmatic minerals go through to form the euhedral crystal structures seen above. @Oregon picture: 'dem glacial erosion features :)

Also: you would not want to sleep below one of those... erosion is a *****.

I like crater-like areas in the earth, because water can go there.

Also, there's some very cool earth at the bottom of the ocean.

... I really have to finish going over these minerals and crystals. @_@ So much to memorize... But I hope to understand what you meant by that by the end of this term!

Btw, I shouldn't be sleeping in Oregon, period. This place is a geological time bomb.

... Umm... Maybe if we had lifetimes of millions of years...

(If 9.0+s occur in Memphis and California simultaneously OR if Yellowstone erupts.... Then you might want to be careful)

Edit: Tourmaline: the garbage can mineral :D/>

I wouldn't trust my luck on this one. 8'D But, that makes me feel better.

Garbage can mineral? We just started on minerals in geology class this week, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. xD
