As stated before, you can't manually finish skills right now, you have to wait for the server to do it. If it doesn't change after 30 minutes or so, then there could be a bug.

Manual completion will be patched in with the upcoming update.

Yes, I said on the first page that the button currently doesn't work.

Also, as a general note, tablets aren't supported.

Yep, I'll create a thread for them once the subforum is up later this month. Just want to keep everything in one place.

I get the feeling that Legend's asking as a Computer Science major, looking for actual coding information. :P

PHP backend which handles 99% of the engine work, (currently) poorly written HTML/Javascript frontend interface. Final game will be a mixture of HTML5 elements and some better written JS.

Also, to apologise for the update delay, here's a little preview of part of it (dialogue engine is a go):

What IDE are you using? Are you willing to share the code? I promise I'm not going to steal it or anything. I think it's very interesting and I'd like to view it.

Not using an IDE at the moment, just doing it all through Notepad++. When I use one, though, it's typically PhpStorm. I'll probably start using it as the project gets larger and harder to manage, though.

Eventually, I plan on making the engine code available for collaborative work, and you'll be more than welcome to have at it then. For now though, I'm keeping it under wraps (mainly because it's absolutely horribly written and needs some serious cleaning/rewriting at some point).

Yay! :D (btw I've taken a crash course in PHP and a bit of C, and I have found that the structure and syntax of both of those and that of Java are so similar, coding skills in one are almost 100% interchangeable with another, excluding linking of third party packages, and compiling of course.)

um, let me try to help. Syntax is the structure of a code, like how languages have a structure to string words into sentences, code has a structure. for example in Java, PHP, and C, to end a 'one-line' (or perhaps I should say individual) instruction you put a semi-colon, kind of like a period in a sentence. there, hoped you understood that, now you can say you understand 'some of this stuff'.

too many computer code terms. And I agree with you Patsy, wish I could understand what they are talking about.

It could also be how you people word it that makes it confusing. Just saying.
